# Care for a Cookie?
## The CompanyXR Media Group \[MyBroome.com\] Cookie Policy
**Effective date: August 29, 2026**
**Last technical review: August 29, 2026**
Cookies are tiny. Cookie policies usually are not. We will keep this one human.
[MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) uses a small number of cookies to keep the community running, keep accounts secure, remember useful choices, and understand general platform activity. This policy explains what those cookies do, what information may travel with them, who may process that information for us, and what choices users have.
The short version: we use cookies to make [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) work. We do not sell or trade the personal information collected through them. We share limited information only with applications and services used to operate or improve the platform, or when disclosure is legally or operationally necessary. We may provide business clients with generic audience and engagement trends to help them choose advertising placements, but not information that identifies an individual user.
## 1\. What exactly is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text record that a website asks a browser to store. When the browser returns to that website, it sends the relevant cookie back. That is how a website can remember things such as an active sign-in, a security token, or a language choice.
Some cookies last only for the current browser session. Others stay until their expiration date or until the user deletes them. In this policy, “cookies” also includes closely related browser-storage technologies when they perform the same kind of job.
Cookies are not little surveillance cameras. A cookie is simply stored data. What matters is what the cookie contains, who can receive it, and how it is used. That is what this policy covers.
## 2\. Our no-funny-business rule
CompanyXR Media Group does not sell or trade personal information collected through [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) cookies.
We do not give advertisers or business clients access to a user's:
- Name or private account details
- Email address or telephone number
- Password or account credentials
- Private messages
- Personally identified browsing history
- Private Space activity
We disclose limited cookie-related information only:
- To hosting, security, email, analytics, media, payment, communication, and other applications or services used to operate or improve [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com).
- When a user requests a feature that depends on a connected service.
- When reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, a security incident, or a violation of [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) rules.
- When required by applicable law or valid legal process.
- When necessary to protect users, CompanyXR Media Group, [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com), or the public.
Those services may process only the information needed to perform their job for us, subject to their own legal and contractual responsibilities.
## 3\. The cookies in our jar
The following table reflects [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com)'s current platform and a live technical review of the public login experience. Cookie behavior can vary depending on whether a user is signed in, selects “Remember me,” changes a language, or uses a module or connected feature.
| Cookie | Who provides it | What it does | Typical life |
| ------ | --------------- | ------------ | ------------ |
| `PHPSESSID` | [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) platform and third-party host systems | Creates the active browser session. It lets [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) connect requests made during a visit and supports sign-in, navigation, forms, messages, notifications, and other account functions. | Normally the browser session |
| `_csrf` | [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) platform systems | Helps protect forms and account actions against cross-site request forgery. In plain English, it helps [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) confirm that a submitted request belongs to the active session. | Normally the browser session |
| `_identity` | [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) platform systems | Supports the optional “Remember me” feature so a recognized user can remain signed in beyond the ordinary session. | Up to approximately 30 days under the current platform setting |
| `language` | [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) platform systems | Remembers the language selected for the [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) interface. | Up to approximately 365 days |
During the August 29, 2026 public-site check, `PHPSESSID` and `_csrf` were set as Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax cookies. Secure means they are sent through an encrypted HTTPS connection. HttpOnly helps keep page scripts from reading them. SameSite=Lax helps limit when a browser sends them during cross-site navigation.
Cookie values are technical identifiers or protected tokens. They are not meant to be read as a profile biography, message, or password.
## 4\. Why [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) needs them
### Keeping members signed in
When a member signs in, [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) needs to know which browser session belongs to that account. Otherwise, every click would feel like arriving for the first time. Session and identity cookies help deliver the correct profile, Spaces, messages, notifications, preferences, and permissions.
### Protecting accounts and forms
Security cookies help us distinguish a valid form submission from a request that may have been generated somewhere else without the user's knowledge. They also support session integrity, account protection, spam controls, and investigation of suspicious activity.
### Remembering useful choices
If a user selects a language or chooses to remain signed in, a cookie can remember that choice. The goal is simple: less repetition, fewer unnecessary sign-ins, and a smoother visit.
### Making community features work
Cookies support the platform functions behind profiles, Spaces, posts, comments, reactions, messages, notifications, forms, search, and other community tools. Third-party platform systems and installed modules may also use cookies or related storage when required for their specific feature.
### Finding bugs before the bugs find everybody
Technical records can help us determine whether pages load correctly, whether sessions fail, which browser or device category encountered an error, and where performance needs improvement. Customer Care may use relevant session or diagnostic information when investigating a reported problem.
## 5\. What cookie-related information may be collected
Depending on the feature and cookie involved, [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) or a service working for us may process:
- Session or account identifiers
- Sign-in status
- Browser and device category
- Operating system and general technical settings
- Internet Protocol address
- Approximate location derived from an Internet Protocol address
- Date and time of a visit
- Pages, Spaces, Newswire sections, posts, or features viewed
- Links selected
- Referral information showing how a visitor reached [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com)
- Language and interface preferences
- Security events, errors, and performance information
- Advertising impressions and general engagement
Cookies do not ordinarily contain the complete contents of private messages or a user's complete password.
## 6\. Hosting cookies and server services
[MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) is delivered through a web host and server software. Our current public-site response identifies PHP and LiteSpeed as part of that delivery system. The host and server infrastructure necessarily process connection information to deliver pages, maintain security, and diagnose technical problems.
During our August 29, 2026 public login-page review, [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) did not set a separately named Namecheap or LiteSpeed tracking cookie. The host may still maintain server-side security, access, performance, and error logs. Server logs are not browser cookies, but they may contain an Internet Protocol address, request time, requested page, browser information, or an error record.
We include this section because “the host helps run the site” is part of the real answer, even when the host does not drop an extra cookie into the browser.
## 7\. Modules, apps, and embedded services
[MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) may use third-party platform modules or connected services for features such as video, maps, payments, media, search, analytics, security, email, or communications. If a page loads one of those services, the service may set its own cookie or receive basic connection information.
Examples include:
- Playing an embedded video
- Opening an interactive map
- Starting a payment
- Loading media hosted by another provider
- Using a connected search, security, or communication feature
We use these services to provide or improve a [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) feature. We do not invite them to sell [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) user information on our behalf. When a user directly interacts with a connected service, that provider's privacy and cookie policy may also apply.
The modules and services used by [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) will change as the platform grows. When a new feature adds a materially different cookie or data use, we will update this policy or provide an additional notice.
## 8\. Advertising without following people around the internet
CompanyXR Media Group may place local advertising, sponsorships, and promoted content on [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com). Cookies and ordinary platform records may help us count:
- How many times a placement appeared
- How many times it was selected
- Which general [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) section carried it
- What broad time period received engagement
- Whether the same placement is being shown too often
We may provide business clients with generic, aggregated, or de-identified trends to help them decide where to place advertising. Examples include total impressions, overall selections, popular platform sections, general device categories, broad geographic patterns, and general times of higher activity.
That information describes an audience, not a named person. We do not hand a business client an individual user's cookie file, private account information, or private activity.
[MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) does not use its own cookies to follow users across unrelated websites and build outside browsing profiles for sale to advertisers. If a user loads an outside video, map, payment tool, or similar connected feature, that service may receive information about that direct interaction under its own policy.
## 9\. First-party, connected-service, and session cookies
Here is the quick breakdown:
- **First-party cookies** come from [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) and support [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) directly.
- **Connected-service cookies** may come from a service used inside a [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) feature.
- **Session cookies** usually disappear when the browser session ends.
- **Persistent cookies** stay for a set period or until deleted.
- **Essential cookies** are needed for sign-in, security, forms, or another requested platform function.
Not every cookie is advertising. On [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com), the verified core cookies are operational and security-focused.
## 10\. User choices
Most browsers let users view, block, or delete cookies. Users may also be able to block cookies from connected services while allowing first-party cookies from [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com).
Blocking or deleting cookies can change how [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) works. A user may be signed out, lose a saved language choice, need to sign in repeatedly, or be unable to submit forms or use certain account features. Blocking a connected-service cookie may prevent the related video, map, payment, or media feature from loading.
Essential cookies may be placed without an optional-cookie selection when reasonably necessary to provide a requested service, protect an account, secure [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com), process a form, or remember a privacy choice.
## 11\. How long we keep the crumbs
Session cookies normally end with the browser session. Persistent cookies remain until their expiration date or until the user deletes them.
Related server records may follow a different schedule. Security logs, error reports, consent records, aggregated analytics, and advertising totals may be retained when reasonably necessary for platform operation, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or ordinary business records.
We keep identifiable cookie-related information only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, subject to legal, security, backup, and operational requirements. Aggregated or de-identified trends may be kept longer because they are not intended to identify an individual user.
## 12\. When the law or safety requires disclosure
CompanyXR Media Group may preserve or disclose relevant cookie or server information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, a court order, subpoena, or valid legal process
- Investigate fraud, abuse, threats, security incidents, or violations of [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) rules
- Protect the rights, safety, property, accounts, or services of users, CompanyXR Media Group, or the public
- Establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim
These are limited exceptions, not our everyday business model.
## 13\. Updates to the cookie jar
[MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) is still growing. New third-party modules, CompanyXR Media Group features, host services, and community tools may change which cookies are used.
We will review this policy as the platform develops. The effective date and technical-review date at the top show when the policy and cookie inventory were last reviewed. Material changes may also be announced through [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com).
## 14\. Questions about our cookies
Questions about this policy or [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com)'s cookie practices may be directed to the MyBroome Customer Care Team through the established contact options on [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com) or [CompanyXR.org](http://CompanyXR.org).

**Bottom line:** Cookies help keep [MyBroome.com](http://MyBroome.com)’s lights on, doors locked, and community moving. We use them with purpose. We do not sell the crumbs. Ours are the good cookies, and they never crumble.
